Currently Answer Politics is in an Open Beta stage in order to fix any bugs that users may encounter. This allows us to enhance the overall experience for everyone. Answer Politics is relatively new and the community is still small. As a result, we are still tweaking certain features in order to ensure that they work with our user base.
Features we are currently adjusting include the points and reward system. Throughout this process, you may notice your total points increase or decrease due to changes we make in the formula of how your points are calculated. For example, we may increase or decrease the number of points a user receives for answering a question.
We will make sure to update our members about significant changes we make to this site
Please contact us if you have any further questions or encounter any bugs.
When a question or answer is voted up, the user who originally posted the content will gain or lose points. These points serve as a rough measure of the community trust in that person.
For example, if you ask an interesting question or useful answer, it will likely be voted up. On the other hand if the question is poorly-worded or the answer is misleading - it will likely be voted down. Each up vote on a question will generate 1 point, whereas each vote against will subtract 1 point.
The following table lists the points gained per activity:
|One time points for all users:||+ 100 points|
|Posting a question:||2 points|
|Selecting an answer for your question:||3 points|
|Per up vote on your question:||+ 1 points|
|Limit from up votes on your question:||+ 10 points|
|Per down vote on your question:||- 1 points|
|Limit from down votes on your question:||– 10 points|
|Posting an answer:||2 points|
|Having your answer selected as the best:||20 points|
|Per up vote on your answer:||+ 1 points|
|Limit from up votes on your answer:||+ 10 points|
|Per down vote on your answer:||- 1 points|
|Limit from down votes on your answer:||– 10 points|
